Community hospitals program

Community hospitals program

The Victorian Government has committed $675 million to build ten community hospitals close to major growth areas.

These community hospitals will transform the way healthcare is delivered in suburban and regional Victoria, providing more access to in-demand services, closer to home.

This investment will be used to upgrade or expand existing health services at CraigieburnCranbourne, Pakenham, Phillip Island, Sunbury and Torquay and support new developments in the City of WhittleseaEltham area, Point Cook and Fishermans Bend.

What’s new?

Ten community consultative committees have been established to give communities the chance to shape the care and services delivered by their local community hospital. To find out the full list of committee members, please visit the dedicated project pages.
