Mildura Base Hospital intensive care unit expansion

Mildura Base Hospital now has an expanded intensive care unit made possible by $2.48 million from the Victorian Government’s Regional Health Infrastructure Fund.

The project expanded the intensive care unit from five to eight beds, reconfigured and upgraded existing rooms and added two more short-stay beds.

The expansion is expected to improve patient flow and patient waiting times at Mildura Base Hospital.

The Victorian Government established the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund to rebuild and refurbish rural and regional health facilities, ensuring all Victorians can access high quality care and facilities, no matter where they live.
