North West Metropolitan Youth Prevention and Recovery Care centre
The Victorian Government is investing $11.9 million to build a new 20-bed Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) facility to support young Victorians experiencing mental illness.
This centre provides a community-based residential treatment option for youth 16-25 years who are becoming mentally unwell, or who are in the early stages of recovery from an acute mental illness and need a short period of additional support after leaving hospital.
It is situated in the youth mental health precinct at Parkville and adjacent to the brand new award winning Orygen and Orygen Youth Mental Health facilities.
