The Victorian Government has invested $217 million to deliver the next stage of the Latrobe Regional Hospital Expansion.
This stage will expand the maternity unit and deliver three new operating theatres, 44 new beds and 14 new medical and surgical beds. This means more people can get the care they need, closer to home.
There will also be six new intensive care unit beds and an extra emergency department bay.
The expansion will help to meet the region's increasing and complex health demands. It is part of our master plan for delivering improved health services throughout the Gippsland region.
Stages 1 and 2 are complete and involved the delivery of a bigger emergency department and new cardiac facilities.
For more information on stage 1 and 2, please see the Latrobe Regional Hospital - Stage 2 project page.
