Barwon Health North opens in Geelong

17 February 2020

Barwon Health North, a new state-of-the-art healthcare facility, has opened in Norlane in Geelong.

The $33.1 million facility will provide high-quality health services to the growing community in Geelong’s northern suburbs.

The two-storey facility offers:

  • medical imaging
  • child and family services
  • renal dialysis
  • pathology
  • speciality clinics.

The facility also includes a walk-in urgent care centre. Patients will be able to receive treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries from 2 pm to 10 pm, 7 days a week. These include sprains, cuts, minor fractures and infections.

Barwon Health North will help to reduce strain on the University Hospital Geelong emergency department. It will also help meet the changing health needs of Corio, Norlane and surrounding communities.
