UPDATED: Frankston Hospital redevelopment project Industry Briefing

06 March 2020

Unfortunately, the Industry Briefing planned for 25 March 2020 will no longer take place given the exceptional circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. This is in line with a directive from government and advice from Victoria’s Chief Health Officer.

Planning for the redevelopment is continuing.

The project team is closely monitoring the current situation and impact of COVID-19, and will provide further information about this significant project in due course.

About the redevelopment

The Frankston Hospital redevelopment will transform services by delivering additional beds, more operating theatres and better, integrated mental health services for the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula communities.

This project will also deliver expanded maternity and paediatric services, consolidate emergency department short stay beds, and improve oncology and orthopaedic services.

The redevelopment aims to support Frankston Hospital to provide modern services and facilities to care for an ageing and growing local community for generations to come.

Construction is scheduled to start in late 2021, with the new facilities due to open in 2025.
